'Loro Parque' is a zoo in Puerto de la Cruz, North Tenerife. My son was enchanted by the fish, Orcas, penguins and dolphins. They even had a white tiger. This school of sea bass is apparently housed in one of the largest single acrylic cylinders ever cast. It rises through several levels and you can circle it as you go up or down the stairs. The metallic colour and quick swirling movement of the bass brought DH Lawrence's poem to mind: LITTLE FISH The tiny fish enjoy themselves in the sea. Quick little splinters of life, their little lives are fun to them in the sea. Not in the sea of course, but 'little splinters of life' certainly, and hopefully enjoying themselves in their confinement.

Remarkable sunset a couple of weeks ago, so I took a pew on the old bridge in Blackrock and shot a few frames, looking towards the new glass-covered bridge and the old swimming baths.

Noticed this on Avoca Avenue. There's a school nearby. Someone probably found it on the footpath and helpfully stuck in on the telegraph pole in case its owner might come looking for it. Ah, civilization.

Taken about a decade ago. He was sitting on a bench with his dog, taking in the evening sun. When I asked permission he was delighted to be photographed, stripped to the waist to show off his physique and did a variety of poses. I should have spent the whole roll on him. I've lost his name and address, sadly. But I did send him a copy at the time, as he had requested.
